Response: Ontario Professional Planners Institute’s (OPPI) statement on systemic Anti-Black racism

In light of the recent protests in Canada and the United States, in response to the police killing of George Floyd, Regis Korchinski-Paquet and countless other Black lives lost to the structural violence of anti-Black racism, the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) released a statement on how Ontario professional planners can confront anti-Black racism.

In response to the OPPI’s statement, members of the Black Planning project alongside a number students, emerging professionals and professionals in the planning field, signed an open letter,.
