  • "Buying While Black: Barriers to Black Homeownership in Canada"                                ​

In partnership with  Dr. Nemoy Lewis, this project seeks to understand homeownership experiences for Black households, housing policies and programs that influence those experiences, and the role non-profits play in these experiences.

 

This project is funded by the CMHC and also in partnership with Habitat for Humanity GTA and several other organizations.

  • Mapping past and present Black communities across Canada and presenting their stories in connection with planning and placemaking (in development).

  • Tracking historical Black displacement in Toronto (in development with ULI Toronto).
